Mary Arnold-Forster, Principal, Dualchas Building Design, Skye
Mary is a principal with Dualchas Architects based on the Isle of Skye. She specialises in sustainable architecture in peripheral locations. She has been responsible for almost 50 projects on both the mainland and numerous Scottish Islands. She has taught and lectured at several schools of architecture and written for architectural magazines and publications. Her ambition is to cycle, kayak or walk to every project.
Mary has been working on an off-grid house known as the Golden Cabin on Scotasay, a tiny island that sits between Scalpay and Harris in east Loch Tarbert. More buildings are planned for the island.
