A&DS is pleased to be able to share resources from the latest meeting of the Local Authority Urban Design Forum (LAUDF), which took place at the Lighthouse, Glasgow on the 15th May.
The attached newsletter summarises the third meeting of the forum, an afternoon packed with a range of presentations and workshops, looking in detail at the issue of design in the development planning process.
Outputs of the workshops can also be accessed on the right. These include resources developed from a world cafe session where participants engaged in lively debate about how design can be used to engage people in the development planning process, directly from those involved in key projects and initiatives.
The LAUDF is a network for for local authority practitioners with an interest or involvement in urban design to share ideas on current issues, learn from each others experiences and build up resources for everyone to benefit from. The forum is led by participants with support from A&DS. The third meeting was attended by over 40 professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, representing 26 different local authorities or public bodies.
The next meeting is scheduled for November 2014.
