Architecture and Design Scotland is providing support and advice as part of the Scottish Government’s Making Places Initiative 2017. We are currently undertaking a pilot project to support community placemaking projects.
Who is it for?
The pilot is currently focused on supporting a limited number of communities. The support is tailored to the needs of each group. We have brought people together for events on engagement, group governance, organisation and funding. Using the knowledge from the event we are creating a series “how to guides” on community placemaking and project delivery.
How we can help
Are you a community group who want to improve your local neighbourhood? Do you have ideas that would make positive change to your streets, spaces or buildings? Do you need support and guidance? At this stage the support is limited to a small number of communities. After the pilot project registered notes of interest will be on a first come, first served approach. Please sign up here to find out when this support service opens to the a public.
In the meanwhile, we will produce guidance which will be available to everyone.
