Buildings and places have a huge influence on the quality of our lives and our wellbeing. As Scotland’s design champion we believe that design can help realise our country’s ambitions.
At the start of 2021 Architecture and Design Scotland set out its plans for the coming decade in our corporate strategy. Our vision is for a Scotland whose places are healthy, sustainable and thriving, where everyone works together to shape their future.
In 2021 we also launched our Digital Strategy. It looks at our internal and external digital communications. A key part of this strategy is a redesign of our website and review of our social media channels. This is to help us reach our audiences more effectively, helping us to champion place collaboration, sharing examples and evidence on the benefits of working together and influencing for change.
A&DS plays a strategic role in ensuring that good design is incorporated in everything that is done in Scotland. We influence on the strategic level, as well as showcase Scotland’s approach to international audiences, as well as working directly with community groups. We have a wealth of knowledge and resources, and we want to use our digital channels to their greatest effect to reach our audiences and to support change.
