In 2016, A&DS invited local authorities to submit examples of how schools teams are responding to the challenges of implementing curriculum for excellence in the learning estate; to the challenge of addressing changing resource and to the opportunity of incremental change. 16 Authorities submitted 33 examples, which are loosely grouped into three categories
[a] responses to the Schools for the Future programme
[b] responses to place
[c] responses to modernisation.
These examples provide a useful snapshot of current practice across Scotland. Each example has been organised as a simple 2 page summary, setting out the project brief, the project response, and some key learning points.
