We are hiring: Design Officer (Fixed-term opportunity)

We’re pleased to announce a new opportunity to join our team as a Design Officer (B1) on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027.

Based in Edinburgh, this role offers an exciting chance for an emerging design professional to contribute to projects that promote the value of high-quality design across Scotland’s built environment. Working closely with the Director of Design and colleagues across the organisation, the successful candidate will support a wide range of activities, from project delivery and workshop coordination to research, content creation and knowledge-sharing.

This is a fantastic development opportunity for someone qualified in a relevant discipline and working toward professional membership, who is keen to gain experience across housing, public sector investment, and wider sector development.

The role offers a salary of £34,936 - £37,894 (B1), starting at entry level, and involves hybrid working with at least one day per week in the Edinburgh office, alongside some travel across Scotland.

We’re looking for a motivated and creative individual who is passionate about improving Scotland’s built environment and eager to grow their skills within a collaborative team.
