Edinburgh Through a Child’s Lens exhibition

Edinburgh Through a Child’s Lens is a city-wide project asking children to show us their Edinburgh: the places they love, the places they find difficult, what they would change and what they imagine for its future.

Their ideas will take over A&DS:SpACE at Edinburgh Futures Institute for a week of exhibition, conversation, making and play.

But this is about more than asking children what they think. Our objective is to listen to children because they can tell us things adults cannot. Bring that knowledge together with research and expertise. Then work with the people who have the power, knowledge and responsibility to shape places, turning what we learn into meaningful change.

Across four days, we LISTEN, THINK, MAKE and GROW, exploring what Edinburgh looks and feels like through children's eyes and asking how we can create a city that supports childhood now and into the future.

A&DS:SpACE is a collaborative venue created by Architecture and Design Scotland and Space for Architecture, Carbon & Environment. Through exhibitions, events and public programming, it provides a platform for conversations about architecture, design, sustainability, placemaking and the future of Scotland's built environment.
