boom saloon at A&DS:SpACE - who owns & uses space?
Who owns & uses space? A conversation centred around equity & voice within the field of architecture and built environment.
Get your ticketsAs part of boom saloon at A&DS:SpACE, Calling boom saloon welcomes you to listen in and discuss: Who owns the spaces we share? Who gets to use them, and who gets heard when decisions are made? Join us for an immersive discussion exploring these questions through the lens of youth, equity and voice.
Grab a seat, help yourself to some popcorn and settle in. There’s no welcome speech: the screen lights up, a phone rings, and you’re listening in on a conversation between Marco Morgan in Cape Town and boom saloon member Craig Stott in Leeds, about who space really belongs to.
Then we take the call live, as we invite brilliant minds İlayda Tunca in Çanakkale, Dan Dorcic in Berlin and Gordon Tsang in London to pick up the thread in a discursive, reactionary roundtable. Share your questions live and we’ll put them to the call.
Finally, we open up the conversation to the room, inviting you to carry the discussion further.
Tickets are £5 for boom saloon members & £10 general admission for non-members.
Presented by boom saloon, hosted at A&DS:SpACE at Edinburgh Futures Institute.
