As part of boom saloon at A&DS:SpACE, Calling boom saloon asks: can you design accessibly? This evening explores whether accessible design is ever truly possible, and who is shaped by the answer.

The evening begins without introduction. A phone rings, and a pre-recorded conversation unfolds on screen between Ewan Graham, Partner and Healthcare Sector Lead at Hawkins\Brown in London, and boom saloon member Kirsty Watt. They consider what it takes to design for health, dignity and difference.

The conversation then moves to a live call, where additional speaker, Gerry King will respond with his personal experience, questioning and extending what has been said. Audience members are invited to text in their questions, which will be put to the call in real time.

The evening closes in the room, where our Edinburgh-based contributors join the audience in person to continue the discussion.

£5 for boom saloon members and £10 general admission for non-members.

Presented by boom saloon, hosted at A&DS:SpACE at Edinburgh Futures Institute.
