As design and place-making have become increasingly prominent issues for planners, the need to provide support for skills development in this area has prompted action from many organisations including A+DS. Understanding the principles, benefits and application of masterplanning techniques across a variety of scales is a current learning priority agreed with planning authorities across Scotland.
The ‘Working together to deliver better Masterplans’ workshop was piloted by A+DS, working with the Key Agencies Group* in Glasgow on 29 November 2011. Following positive feedback two further workshops were held in Edinburgh and Dundee in 2012.
The report from November pilot can be found here. The document contains hyperlinks, videos of the presentations and slides from the workshop.
