About the Event

Never before have Facilities Services been so important for NHSScotland with major changes taking place in the delivery of health and social care. We are all aware of the challenges in delivering high quality healthcare and improving the health of the people of Scotland.

We have a crucial role in ensuring that we design and provide high quality healthcare environments and services for patients, staff and the public. This event aims to provide you with information and advice to deliver this.

The Scottish Healthcare Conference will take place on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November 2013 at Crieff Hydro, Perthshire. The theme is Change or Challenge? Driving the 2020 Vision, Facilitating Healthcare in Scotland.

We have Alex Neil, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing delivering the keynote address and presenting our Sustainability Excellence, Design and Facilities Innovation Awards. He will be followed by Ros Moore, Chief Nursing Officer.

In addition, we are delighted to have Sir Tom Farmer, Founder and Former Chairman of the Kwik Fit Group opening the event on the second day along with Steve McGuire, Executive Director, Essentia, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

The conference is aimed at NHS and other public sector estates and facilities professionals, managers, directors, engineers, energy managers, capital projects managers, major contractors, private providers and architects. The people who have the final say on which products and services that come into their facility – and who ultimately sign off the expenditure.

Also, project managers, consultants, subcontractors and facilities managers. The people who will supply, install, use and maintain products and services – and advise the decision-makers on what they should buy, and from whom.
