Our first information session and official launch of Say Hello to Architecture took place on 15 March at The Lighthouse in Glasgow. We had a great response from across the country and around 60 people attended the information sharing and networking event.

At the event we also made available a wide range of resources – also available to download here on our website. If you would like hard copy resources please get in touch!

On the day we heard from the:

Talking Heads project – help to record and capture your events throughout the year.

BBC build it Scotland project

Walking Heads tours overview

Education Scotland

We also hosted a Project Exchange with brief presentations from:

Nadfly on the ABC Routes project
Maire Cox –  Mobility, Mood and Place on the upcoming conference on Habitats for Happy Ageing
Lost in a Doocot – Mary Corothers and Sherrill Keefe
Lynette Robertson – on Living Architecture – Green Walls and Vertical Gardens

We created a couple of videos from the event – available on our Say Hello to Architecture channel on Vimeo. We hope that you will also capture your events like this – when you do we’ll post them to the Vimeo channel.

We hope to be able to host more of this type of event to allow groups and individuals draw inspiration from each other and share ideas and issues.
If you want to sign up to run your own event or activity throughout 2016 please get in touch by emailing 2016@ads.org.uk or fill in our local events application form.

The Say Hello to Architecture programme is part of A&DS contribution to the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design and the Festival of Architecture 2016.
