Power Of Place

Add to Scrapbook

The Schools Programme is currently working with Shetland on the best way of replacing their secondary school in Lerwick. This has involved the Council looking at the wider opportunities for learning offered by the architectural assets of the town.

2010 is also Shetland’s year of architecture and place – and the islands will be hosting a wide range of events over the course of the year on the theme of ‘Power of Place’. With the support of Architecture+Design Scotland this ambitious programme aims to raise the profile of design within Shetland, and will feed the important debate about how the buildings of Shetland will influence the future of the islands.
