Another two ‘Talking Heads’ have recently been commissioned, which further build on a series of short videos capturing good experiences and good practice in the design of learning environments.

The headteachers at Douglas Academy in East Dunbartonshire and St Peter the Apostle High School in West Dunbartonshire provide an insight into how the design of their new schools has contributed to the delivery of Curriculum for Excellence.

A key message from these two videos is the importance and benefit of consulting with the pupils during the design process – as one headteacher says, ‘listen to the pupils – they have their fingers on the pulse’.
