An exhibition on the work of celebrated Art Nouveau architect, Antoni Gaudí, and his Catalan contemporaries by photographer Michael Thomas Jones opened in Barcelona on the 25 April. Commissioned as part of the Scottish Government’s commitment to increased cultural links between Scotland and Catalonia, the exhibition presents the work of the great Spanish Art Nouveau architects within the context of 21st century Barcelona.
Formally opened by Jordi Hereu the Mayor of Barcelona, the exhibition, which will run until September, attracted over 20,000 visitors in the first weekend. It is displayed in one of the pavilions of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (1909-1930) by Lluís Domènech i Montaner’s.
