A&DS is pleased to share learning from the fifth meeting of the Local Authority Urban Design Forum (LAUDF), held at the Lighthouse, Glasgow, on 13th May.

The attached newsletter and resource sheets cover the fifth meeting of the Forum from an afternoon packed with a mix of presentations, workshops and facilitated discussions looking at Urban Design in Town Centres.

The meeting was well attended by over 40 professionals from 25 local authorities or public bodies. Participants came from a range of professional backgrounds including development planning/management, urban design, architecture, transport, economic development and town centre management.

The LAUDF is a network for local authority practitioners with an involvement in urban design to share ideas on current issues, learn from each other’s experience and build up resources that everyone can benefit from. The forum is being led by participants, with support from A&DS.

The next meeting scheduled for Autumn 2015. If you would like to find out more about getting involved with the forum, please get in touch here.
