Add to Scrapbook

Stirling is playing host to an ‘Urban Ideas Bakery’ that will bring together local people and international experts to share ideas and turn them into practical solutions to improve the quality of life for the city. The project is being hosted by Stirling Council in partnership with Architecture and Design Scotland (A+DS) and the British Council.

The event will run from Monday 25th October to Wednesday 27th October. The British Council has worked with partners to carry out ‘Urban Ideas Bakeries’ across Europe. The ‘Bakers’ are a very diverse and multidisciplinary group that includes local policy makers and experts, international sector experts, facilitators and young social innovators, both local and international. Together, they deliver custom-made, fresh, practical solutions to issues in Stirling such as community building, developing creative clusters, cultural policy and programmes, recreational spaces, environmental issues, integration, sustainable transport, health, and crime prevention.
