Sinéad Fortune, Founder, Urban Catch, Glasgow

Sinéad has a background in Food Security and community empowerment, she founded Urban Catch to address these issues in Glasgow. Urban Catch raises awareness of and enthusiasm for sustainable urban food production and food security through aquaponics and other forms of urban growing. Aquaponics, a closed loop ecosystem where fish and plants grow together, can be used in places that traditional forms of agriculture cannot.

She spoke about aquaponics and the exciting implications for how food is grown, why cities are actually great places for growing food, and how people can get involved even if they have no outdoor space to grow food.
