Megan Mitchell, Coordinator, Pop-Up Programmers, Glasgow

Megan began programming in 2009 for Glasgow Youth Film Festival and has since worked nationally and internationally on youth and community film projects, including establishing the first young programmers group and youth screenings at Amazonas Film Festival in Brazil. She is now a coordinator for Pop-Up Programmers focusing on bringing film screenings to areas of Glasgow with low art provision in an attempt to tackle issues of access, which affect the industry.

Megan presented previous community pop-up film screenings and the ways in which non-traditional film screenings can engage audiences and create sustained and meaningful relationships between them and film.
