Brian Kelly, Education and Community Outreach Officer, Dundee Heritage Trust

Brian is Education and Community Outreach Officer for Dundee Heritage Trust, which looks after Captain Scott’s Dundee-built exploration vessel RRS Discovery and the Discovery Point Antarctic museum. He delivers the Trust’s award-winning education programme.

In the early 20th C, Robert Falcon Scott, made two voyages to the Antarctic, aboard the Dundee-built ships Discovery and Terra Nova, during which huge advances were made in our scientific understanding of this inhospitable continent. Brian will present the pioneering achievements of Robert Falcon Scott’s expeditions, culminating in the tragic events of the journey to the South Pole in 1912.
