Dunoon Area Joint Campus Participation Workshops

Add to Scrapbook

Working with Argyll and Bute Council, the Schools Programme have helped to develop a user brief for a proposed Primary and Nursery joint campus in the Dunoon area.

Over 500 students, staff and parents participated in workshops in September 2010. The outcome of these workshops is a user brief that will form part of the business case for the project and will be included in the design brief for the project architects.

Many participation techniques were used to explore people’s feelings about their current school buildings and their aspirations for the proposed campus. The final user brief expresses the views and opinions of the participants in their own words wherever possible.

A group of 40 participants from the workshops have now formed a Champions Group and continue to participate with Argyll and Bute Council in the development of this project.
