Architecture and Design Scotland supports Local Design Review Panels. Local panels are there to help raise the quality of new buildings, streets and spaces. They do this by offering constructive and early advice on locally significant projects. The panels seek to add to advice offered by local authorities. They create a platform for a variety of local voices. Panels operate in different ways, but generally they help grow local capacity and get more people involved in planning
Who is it for?
A&DS supports established groups or panels at the early stage of establishment. Panels can be driven by the Local Authority, professional bodies or by community groups.
How we can help
A&DS helps the panels to build capacity and confidence. We offer advice and help share knowledge between panels. We host regular events, provide information through newsletters and briefing materials. A&DS can also connect new panels with more established design panels.
