Architecture and Design Scotland (A&DS) has welcomed Audit Scotland’s report ‘Asset management in the NHS in Scotland’. Speaking earlier today, A&DS’s Healthcare Design Advisor, Heather Chapple said:
We welcome the Audit Scotland report as it raises the profile of the important role that the healthcare buildings, and the estates professionals who manage them, play in delivering health services and the potential of good design to improve both staff efficiency and the patient experience, and to contribute to the realisation of national outcomes such as sustainability targets.
We look forward to continuing to support the Health Directorate and NHSScotland to realise best value from the onward investment through improved use of masterplanning and procurement.
