Architecture Academy 2011

Add to Scrapbook

This was a free taster course designed to challenge and inspire those thinking about architecture as a career, in which students responded to a set design brief, working in 2D and 3D to create an original portfolio-ready project by the end of the course. A great introduction to architecture and a headstart for those considering going on to further study.

Participants practiced sketching, drawing and presentation skills and completed a creative mini portfolio ready project.

This course was designed and delivered by architects and architectural educators.

Previous Participant Feedback:
I have accepted an unconditional offer to study architecture at Edinburgh University. Although no portfolio was need, I found the course very helpful in gaining an understanding of what studying architecture would involve.

The information and knowledge I gained from attending the classes was invaluable and definitely helped me with interview preparation and also portfolio preparation

The ‘Architecture Academy’ and ‘Portfolio Class’ came in very handy during the interview as it guaranteed me a place within the university and for that I would just like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in these courses.
