Design Quality was high on the agenda at a learning event hosted by the Scottish Government Health Directorate, with partners from Health Facilities Scotland and Architecture and Design Scotland (A&DS).

The Norwegian delegation consisted of a group of 8 leading figures in regional health authorities and representatives of a research institute. They were in Scotland from 1st-3rd September sharing learning on healthcare planning, procurement and design. The group, which included people instrumental in the development of seminal hospitals such as St Olav’s Hospital, Trondheim and Rikshospitalet, then visited the New Stobhill Hospital and the Forth Valley Royal Hospital, discussing the opportunities and challenges of hospital design with the key people from the client teams.
