Environmental Modelling for a Low Carbon Scotland - 19 September 2011
This year for the first time, a World Green Building Week event will be held in Scotland. Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES), Architecture+Design Scotland and Buro Happold are coming together to inspire debate and collaboration amongst the Scottish building design community.
We are delighted to invite you to join us to consider solutions to the key green building challenges you’re facing. The evening will commence with a drinks reception and a presentation from Buro Happold on the role of energy & environmental modelling in delivering greener buildings, including insights into a number of Scottish projects including the new Glasgow Riverside Museum and the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. This will be followed by interactive networking with an opportunity to expand on the key challenges for the industry.
The event will take place in the inspiring surroundings of The Lighthouse, Glasgow Scotland's national centre for architecture and design. World Green Building Week is held annually to highlight the importance of sustainable buildings for businesses, communities and individuals across the world. This year it takes place from 19-23 September. Every year, international Green Building Councils and their members co-ordinate activities and hold events that reflect what sustainability means to them.
