Scottisharchitecture.com is an online architecture centre, that is part of Architecture and Design Scotland's ACCESS to Architecture Programme. The website is designed to engage, inform and illuminate on all aspects of Scottish architecture and the built environment, across as wide an audience range as possible - from students and young people taking part in related workshops to professionals looking for lively and up-to-date news and debate.
Scottisharchitecture.com offers an important portal to information relating to projects delivered by the ACCESS to Architecture programme. The website also provides:
- comprehensive and constantly updated news;
- diary details of forthcoming events around Scotland;
- regularly updated features on new buildings and places;
- an education resource aimed at learners across all ages;
- articles, interviews and blogs reflecting the latest thoughts and developments happening across Scotland and beyond.

Cedric Price - Think the Unthinkable website
The exhibition was created by Architecture + Design Scotland, with kind support by the Scottish Government and shown at The Lighthouse 31 March – 3 September 2011
The questions posed by Cedric Price (1934 - 2003) are still potentially revolutionary. Is architecture doing as much for people as comfortable shoes? Do we need buildings, and if so what for?
This exhibition looks at the ideas which underlay Price’s celebrated projects, exploring their continuing power to inspire and challenge, and the strong parallels between Price’s vision of a technology-rich, communications-driven future and the reality of contemporary life in Britain. The exhibition draws on Price’s archive, bringing his projects to life two of his key projects, the Potteries Thinkbelt and the Fun Palace, through models, drawings and key words by Price and his contemporaries.
Projects by architecture students from Strathclyde University and the Mackintosh School of Architecture, and by fine art and photography students from the Glasgow School of Art will be presented. Based on Price's ideas on public space, these will add a contemporary layer to the exhibition.
