Dignified Spaces
Patient dignity is a central theme of the New South Glasgow Hospitals. Focused on approximately 70 rooms across the Hospitals, variously called quiet, relatives and family rooms, this project aims to create dignified spaces for waiting and the important conversations between staff, patients, and families/carers.
The selected artist, designer or team undertaking this project will develop a vital element of the Working Well, People and Spaces Therapeutic Design and Art Strategy for the New South Glasgow Hospitals.
Focused on approximately 70 rooms across the Hospitals, variously called quiet, relatives and family rooms, this project aims to create dignified spaces for waiting and the important conversations between staff, patients, and families/carers.
This project needs to deliver a strategic approach and attention to detail across a range of rooms found throughout the Hospitals, from Emergency Departments to wards and departments.
Approximate total value of the installed work: £100,000.
