New Glasgow Society guided tour of Great Western Road
This event is the first in a series which will look at how Glasgow developed into the city we know. Wealthy Glaswegians didn't always move west, but as phases of residential development spread the city outwards the money tended to go upwind of the industrial city. This walk will look at the architecture, remember some of the residents and recall the part New Glasgow Society played in saving the road from development.
The walk is due to start at 2pm, but you are invited to meet inside Cafe Costa for a chat about what will be looked at during the walk.
Location: Starting at Costa Coffee, Great Western Road and Otago Street.
Organized By: Alistair Fyfe
