Architecture and Design Scotland has travelled to Inverness to discuss local planning and architecture issues and to look at specific pre-application proposals in the A96 corridor
Board Members and Staff from A+DS held a local Design Review meeting in Inverness, and also had the opportunity to make a presentation to local councillors and planning officers from Highland Council at a reception hosted by the council.
The meeting is the latest in a programme of local Design Reviews which take place across the country and aim to raise awareness of the benefits of good design in the built environment and create an opportunity to focus the work of Design Review on a specific region.
Design Review is a process where the design quality new building proposals - at either pre or post planning stage - are appraised and evaluated by a panel comprised of A+DS board members who are professionals and experts in the built environment sector.
