A+DS is the national champion for good architecture, design and planning in the built environment. We have been charged with helping the development industry in Scotland to ‘raise its game'; to ensure that we have a built environment that provides a high quality of life for everyone who lives, works or visits Scotland.
The landscape of Scotland is changing. New buildings are being built and Scotland's cities, towns and villages developing and growing. We seek to ensure that new developments are well designed, are of high quality and contribute to the vibrancy of the spaces and places around them. We do this by helping clients of projects through our Enabling process, advising and assessing development proposals through Design Review and an overarching commitment to advocating for good design supported by a variety of advocacy and Research activity.
As this site grows and develops we hope that it will provide a useful information resource for all those with an interest in the built environment of Scotland.
